Both are excellent. EPDM has the longer track record (60+ years). TPO is newer (~25 years) but offers heat-welded seams and high reflectivity. EPDM is typically the safer bet for cold climates and complex roofs. TPO is better when energy savings and reflectivity are top priorities.
